“My process feeds on the everyday through the constant research of the human being as a body and its relation to the surroundings. In this process I explore the essences of interbeing which are reflected in the focus of a poetic transference. „

Christiane Obermayr alias Akal Kiret lives in Cologne.
After graduating as a dancer and massage therapist, she studied Fine Arts at the Universtiy of Braunschweig, with focus on Performance Art. From 2002 to 2010, she performed as a duo and has realised performances with various artists from different disciplines such as visual arts, dance and theater.

Since 2014 she has been part of the organising team of PAErsche now PAE Aktionslabor and has organised formats exploring the boundaries of reaction (Strom im Vagus 2019), time (Meander 2020), things (too much is not enough 2021) and the interaction of natural forces (Transition 2023).

She has participated in international festivals with solo and duo performances.
